There has never been a better time to own a bicycle than during current times. Dealing with an ‘upside-down’ world has become part of an everyday reality, and as we are trying to adjust and navigate through our surroundings in the safest possible way, our good old friend (the bicycle) comes in very handy.
Whilst entering 2020 and busy with New Year celebrations, little that we knew we’re on for a real ‘treat’. With the introduction of distancing measures as a Global Pandemic was declared, we’ve seen a substantial increase in bicycle ownership. As more of us stopped using public transports, and became more health conscious, we relied on the use of this two-wheel wonder as means of getting around, leisure cycling, or simply exercising.
Regardless of what type of bicycle you may currently own, one thing is for sure, you can still ride it and enjoy a heightened sense of freedom. As most gyms are likely to be closed during present times, riding your bicycle is still one of the best ways of boosting your immune system, and keep yourself in great physical shape.
If anything, 2020 brought with it a bicycling revolution like we’ve never seen before, and a sharp increase in recreational cycling. So, get on your bike and start riding!
